NOW Newsletter

[NOW]

Having just distributed the September newsletter, there has been a suggestion from several members that in future all NOW newsletters should be included on wirksworth.net.

Although our members do not pay a subscription, we have always felt their commitment to NOW gives them the privilege of receiving monthly newsletters.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Yes of corse it should be on hear and any ware else pepole in the town can see it ,it is for the town after all .Or is it secret.This is something that should be on hear ,in place of a soap,which you cant always tell if the head line is something real or not.

I can see that it makes sense to put the newsletter on the web-site, but we do have to consider our members. Do you want to join, ragapuzz?

Yes put it up why not?
Perhaps as text and images pasted in, rather than a download doc or pdf. They get overlooked too easily. Also as text it can become quotable, discussable, search-able, visible to search engines etc. i.e. more accessible across the board.

But I'd wait until the spam issue is fixed. You wouldn't want someone to innocently google "NOW" and find themselves looking at a page full of porn like this mornings.

Having inserted the NOW newsletter on the forum, I am having doubts about it. For instance, is the font size too small for all people to read? And I question whether the forum could get chocka-blocked if all groups placed their newsletters on the forum? I'd welcome views on this.

Bit small but I could read it. I'm used to pressing "command,+" to enlarge text, so I'm not bothered really.
Why not have it in a NOW slot with a locked thread for the news-letter which would then appear uninterrupted and in chronological order?
