:confused: Why do we never hear about the railway? We used to...why has this thread remained empty for so long?
I agree with you, James. We used to have lots of information. It all seems to have come to an abrupt halt.
NOW believes that there are lots of interesting goings-on down at the Railway - especially to do with the media. Hopefully, we will learn about them soon.

Oh bother. This is a clear effect of the Law of Unintended Consequences brought about by my requesting a thread be started and then not posting anything!
What is more annoying is that when I sent Stella an update email about a month ago, it never occurred to me to post it to this forum!
I shall seek to recify this omission by posting the email onto this forum and from now on I shall make sure that it stays updated.
As a quick answer to the comments above, we are ferociously busy at the railway right now. Yesterday, we started a huge track construction project at Duffield: this will take around two months to complete and by the end we will have achieved the following:
The complete replacement of all track from Duffield Tunnel (yes, there is one) to the bufffer stops at the southern extremity of the line;
The installlation of a 'Run-round Loop' which you need to get a locomotive from one end of the train to the other when it terminates;
A siding in Diffield Tunnel to give is a little extra storage capacity.I shall save the rest of the update to the other post but please be assured that we're working hard to make sure that we open through to Duffield by 1st October 2010: in other words in just over a year's time.
Kind regards,
Neil Ferguson-Lee
