Just to let you know that we have just published a press release concerning the production of a new film called 'Oranges and Sunshine' which tells the story of the deportation of children to Australia from 1930 to 1970.
Considering the news today about the public apology given Australia's Premier, Kevin Rudd, the filming that took place last Friday could not have been more appropriately-timed.

Amazingly, this is the fifth production to be filmed in Wirksworth this year. Should we consider having the word 'W I R K S W O R T H' placed in large Hollywood-style letters on Bolehill? Just a thought :)
Meanwhile, keep your eyes and ears peeled for the sight and sounds of steam. The restoration of our steam locomotive at Wirksworth Station is proceeding well with the boiler passing its steam test last week.
