Saturday, April 3rd... is the date of the next farmers' market and it's going to be a brilliant one!

It's Easter Saturday and we will be celebrating in style with an Easter Bonnet/Cap parade for children from 0-11. Prizes and fun for all. We're also delighted to welcome Raise Your Voices to sing at 10.30 (not 10.0).

We'll also have buskers to build on the Market with Music theme that is makes Wirksworth market unique! The Easter Bonnet parade will take place at 11am, so do please encourage any youngsters to come and take part.

This month, we're delighted to be able to welcome Choc Art, a new stall that seems an entirely appropriate addition for Easter Saturday. Do come and join us, bring the relatives who might be over to stay, bring the friends and come and share in this lovely monthly event.

Could somebody give me a bit of info please? Is the Easter bonnet parade only for local school children as one - but only one - of the posts states? We have relatives visiting for the weekend, including a 3 year old grand daughter who would probably be keen to show off her finery but wouldn't want to risk potentially carrying off some long-coveted award to foreign parts and enflaming local ire

Wow! What a Farmers' Market we had on Saturday...even the sun shone!! Our stallholders were happy, our shoppers were happy, the ten entrants in the Easter Bonnet Parade were happy and Raise Your Voices received a well-deserved applause.

Thank you all for supporting the monthly Farmers' Market. Next one will be on Saturday 1st May.

It's good to see the pictures of the Farmers' Market on a news item in wirksworth.net.
They confirm the lively atmosphere of the market that Easter Saturday.

I wonder what's in store for the next one - May Day. Any ideas?

Although there didn't seem to be anything special going on for the May market yesterday, I still thought there was a great atmosphere. I never thought they would take off here in Wirksworth, but I've been proved wrong. They certainly are "occasions not to be missed".
