Default A Wirksworth Cinema

The Ritz in Belper has proved so successful. Could we do the same here in Wirksworth? Is it what the town needs?

(There's five of us in my family and I'm speaking for all of them!!)

We often travel to Derby or Chesterfield to watch movies at the weekends when the seats are cheaper so to be able to stay in our own town and watch a family film would be fantastic!

I inadvertently missed this message on the forum otherwise I would have replied immediately. Yes, I agree with Emjay - it would be great to have a Wirksworth cinema that includes family viewing. And somewhere comfortable to sit as well. Is it a possibility or just a pipe dream?

Every time I see the frontage of Stone's from across the road, I think how great it would be to revert this back to the cinema it once used to be.

The discussion about Wirksworth having its own cinema seems to have come to an abrupt end! Is there nothing else to be said?

Perhaps that's all that needs to be said!
In the latest NOW newsletter, members have been asked to express their views on the subject. Using this forum would be an ideal opportunity to do so.
