Sounds intriguing so I had to find out what it was about.
Seems to be about an oil worker who had been a child prodigy and the sound track includes Tammy Wynnette singing 'Stand by your man' - Well so says Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Easy_Pieces

This award-winning film stars JACK NICHOLSON and KAREN BLACK from 1970. It tells of a talented but reluctant concert pianist. He leaves his privileged, middle-class life behind in favour of an uncertain and impoverished, yet infinitely more satisfying, life as a manual oil field worker. ‘He rode the fast lane on the road to nowhere’ - a film the captures the gritty American trailer-park culture of the time. Note: This is the last film of the season. |
