Default How about a film quiz?

I think we had one some years back. But how about a new one and what form should it take?

How about themes? I'll start one off with a Hitchcock theme.

Q1. What was symbolic about the character of Hitchcock and how did it represent itself in all of his films?

(Is that two questions? Sorry. But if you know the answer you'll understand why.)

He may have been slightly vain because he liked to make a cameo appearance in them.

Which film star was the part of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz originally intended for?

I thought we were doing a Hitchcock theme!!!

Anyway, the answer is Elizabeth Taylor.

James, you were right about the Hitchcock theme...sorry about that.

But you were wrong with your answer. It was not Elizabeth Taylor, but Shirley Temple.

Okay, another Hitchcock question.. Who was the woman actor starring with James Stewart in Rear Window?

That's an easy one....Grace Kelly.

[Interesting that Shirley Temple might have played Dorothy. Would she have tapped-danced her way along the Yellow Brick Road? What a relief Judy Garland got the part!!]

Another Hitchcock question. Erm, I'll have to come back on this one.
