WIRKSWORTH 700

volunteers needed

With the help of NOW (New Opportunities Wirksworth) a small group of volunteers have started up a project to celebrate 700 years of Wirksworth Market.  The festivities will take place next July 15th and 16th.

We need more help URGENTLY.

Anyone who can help to organise a celebratory market in the town centre will be most welcome to join us.  We particularly need help with traditional games and any potential youth activities.

We need someone who has a flair for outside events to help with a pageant about the history of Wirksworth which will be held in St Mary's Church Courtyard.

On Friday night, a "700 Dinner" with a guest speaker and medieval theme will need helpers.  The Sunday night concert, which will bring the weekend festivities to a close, will be enhanced by some more volunteer help.

If you are able to help in any way please come on board and contact either Diane Sheppard 01629 821 836 e-mail: diane.sheppard@w3z.co.uk or Colin Pidgeon 01629 824 912 e-mail: colin.pidgeon@w3z.co.uk
