The Derbyshire Project

-Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund -

BTCV can help you launch a project to put something back in areas affected by the aggregates/quarry industry. Projects such as: establishing wildlife gardens; footpath restoration; building fences and dry stone walls; or training courses, can be carried out in your nearby disused quarries. If you have an idea for a conservation project or would like to help to develop your own ideas rthen get in touch. Alternatively you could join us on an existing project in one of the following quarries- Stoney Wood in Wirksworth, Dukes quarry near Crich, Hopton quarry near Hopton, Ballidon by Parwich and Cromford. This initiative is supported by the countryside Agency- funded through the Aggregates Levy Sustainabilty Fund (ALSF).
