The Wirksworth Care Centre project is seeking to establish true community-based care which will meet the needs of older people and their carers.  It will offer respect, freedom of choice and the ability to lead a life as close to normal as possible in spite of increasing frailty.

   ELIGIBILITY FOR A FLAT AT WIRKSWORTH CARE CENTRE      

• Be over the age of 55
• Be on, or apply to be on, Derbyshire Dales District Council's Housing Register (waiting list) and have a local connection.   A local connection means that you are likely to be a resident within the catchment area**
• Have an enduring care need which has been assessed by Derbyshire County Council Social Services.
