BTCV Millennium Volunteers
About Millennium Volunteers
Millennium Volunteers is a national award scheme for 16-24 year olds. It aims to recognise the value of voluntary work undertaken by young people through Awards of Excellence.
BTCV Millennium Volunteers project in Derbyshire is based here in Wirksworth at the Old Methodist Chapel, The Dale. BTCV is the largest deliverer of Millennium Volunteers projects in the country.
Anyone aged 16-24 years of age who wants to volunteer can register and you can also register if you are already helping out with a club or group like Scouts, Guides, youth or sports clubs and you too want to benefit from being a Millennium Volunteer. Registration is completely FREE and there is usually some free gifts to go with it!
We offer:
- Help to find a place to volunteer if required.
- A nationally recognised Award for Excellence after 200 hours.
- £110 funding per volunteer for equipment (like football boots), training (like First Aid and sports coaching) and transport (like bus fares).
- Help and support throughout your volunteering.
